How to disable Wait for dialtone

You may find that you need to get your modem dialing out without waiting for a dialtone on the line. This is the case when you have call notes and you have new messages as they cause the modem to lose the dialtone. When you turn off the wait for dialtone setting you should also add a couple of commas to the start of your dialer's phone number so that your modem pauses before dialing. Each comma is a two second pause.
